Log on at Crealy!

Crealy Great Adventure Park near Exeter, England, has won the right to keep its log flume ride, after East Devon District Council’s relented on its insistence that the park gain planning permission for the attraction.

The L&T-built flume, known as the Tidal Wave, was installed in 2003 – three years after the park was told that it did not need to apply for planning permission for rides, due to its status as an Amusement Park. Crealy whipped up a storm of protest and over two thousand letters supporting the ride received by the park and the council.

According to Angela Wright MBE, Crealy’s managing director, East Devon District Council has now “formally confirmed the opinion that the log flume is an important and appropriate part of Crealy.”
