Kentucky Kingdom presents HalloScream

This October Kentucky Kingdom, Louisville, Kentucky, will present HalloScream – Kingdom of Fear, produced and directed by Oak Island Creative.

“We are very excited about partnering with Oak Island Creative,” said Ed Hart, President and CEO of Kentucky Kingdom, “a company that has developed award-winning themed events for nationally recognized clients. Their events have received many acknowledgments in USA Today, on Fox News, and in other major media outlets. What’s even more exciting is that Oak Island is a local company, headquartered in Louisville. They are dedicated to creating a Halloween event unlike anything Louisville has seen before and they’re certainly the people to do it.”

Hart went on to add, “It’s been a long time since Kentucky Kingdom has been open to the public for a nighttime event. It’s a special experience to see the park lit up at night and especially to enjoy the coasters and other rides at night. Kentucky Kingdom has always been known for its thrills, but HalloScream will take those thrills to an entirely new level.”

A large area of the park will be dedicated solely to HalloScream and its unique attractions. Primary among them are two original and unique haunted houses: “Die Laughing – A Clown Funeral” and “Zombie Wasteland.”

More than 100 performers will participate in HalloScream, which also includes Bizarre Bazaar – A Fear Market. This is an immersive retail environment of bizarre finds and gruesome gifts. Frank N. Stein’s LaBARatory offers a cure for what “ales” you as guests enjoy Dr. Frank’s mad science concoctions served in bubbling beakers and test tubes. Mardi gRAVE is a block party of voodoo-inspired despair where a demonic DJ spins sick and twisted tunes and where everyone will dance till they drop … dead! Visitors can stop at BARely Alive, have a drink, and hang with the undead of HalloScream.

Kentucky Kingdom will be open for HalloScream every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October, from 6:00 p.m. till midnight. Most of the park’s rides, including its signature coasters, will be open. All water attractions will be closed. In addition, Kentucky Kingdom’s 5D Cinema will feature a 12-minute horror fest, consisting of 13 especially terrifying scenes from the “Friday the 13th” films.
