Disneyland Resort welcomes fall with a festive combination of family-friendly Halloween entertainment and cultural celebrations, shows, exclusive treats, themed merchandise and much more, for a limited time and for guests of all ages
Until October 31, 2026, Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort features a wide variety of celebrations, from enchanting decorations to themed transformations of some attractions, as well as delightful entertainment and much more.
Following the spirit of the season, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their friends debut their new Halloween costumes in Town Square, featuring harlequin embellishments, ruffled collars and cuffs, and fabrics in shades of orange, yellow, and black.
Among the entertainment and experiences that no one should miss are the return of fan favourites like the daytime show “ Mickey’s Trick and Treat ” at Disney California Adventure Park and the night time spectacular “ Halloween Screams ” at Disneyland Park, the latter featuring fireworks on select nights. Also returning are transformations of some of the most popular attractions, such as Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween , Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree , and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark at California Adventure, and Haunted Mansion Holiday , inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” at Disneyland.
In the Happiest Place on Earth, wonderful snapshots define this season, including the iconic giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin on Main Street, USA, and the return of the carved pumpkin display, which this year features a new Chewbacca design in the Central Hub, right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
This autumn season also features themed products for sale, including new pieces from the Mickey Mouse and Family Halloween and Disney Cutie Ghost collections, with clothing and hat designs that combine the most fun Halloween with endearing Disney characters.
Food lovers can enjoy all kinds of bites throughout the resort. Among the new additions are:
- Buffalo-style chicken flatbread with cream cheese, parmesan ranch dressing, and fried onions at Outdoor Vending Carts in Disney California Adventure Park
- Vietnamese coffee with frothy sweet ube cream at Cozy Cone Motel – Churros 1
- Churro cake at Market House
In addition to a wide variety of new offerings, several visitor favourites are returning to the menu, including the spicy Oogie Boogie burrito at Studio Catering Co., the Mickey Ghost cake pop available at various candy locations, pozole at Rancho del Zócalo, and much more. New this year are two popcorn buckets: the Mickey Mouse Vampire and the Hatbox Ghost (available at Disneyland).
For more spooky fun, guests can join Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour , where they’ll discover chilling tales from Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. This tour is available for an additional fee and requires a valid park admission ticket. Meanwhile, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit * invites guests to test their detective skills by purchasing a map to locate Disney-themed pumpkins scattered throughout both parks and the Downtown Disney District, in exchange for a very special souvenir.
More trick-or-treating and Halloween throughout the Resort
Halloween extends throughout the Disneyland Resort Hotels, with seasonal decorations, themed menus, and bewitching experiences. This year, the Pixar Place Hotel features new decorations inspired by Disney and Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.” while the Disneyland Hotel welcomes guests with a tribute to the Haunted Mansion. Baking displays return to the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, adding a sweet touch to this spooky celebration.
Guests can enjoy limited-time character experiences at participating restaurants, including Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween at the Disneyland Hotel, and Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Breakfast Buffet and Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner at the Storytellers Café at Disney’s Grand California Hotel & Spa. Reservations for all experiences are now available.
Typical Halloween offerings go beyond the parks and include trick-or-treating trails on select afternoons for hotel guests and festive experiences at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa that offer traditional bites and treats at the Grand Californian Great Hall Cart, and seasonal services at the Tenaya Stone Spa’s spa and hair salon, such as the Wicked to the Core foot treatment.
Meanwhile, Downtown Disney District is getting into the Halloween spirit with fall decorations, themed menus, and traditional shopping. Visitors can enjoy movie nights and live musical performances on the stage and in the garden at Downtown Disney LIVE!
Tribute to the Day of the Dead in the Plaza de la Familia
Family Plaza , inspired by Pixar’s “Coco,” returns to Disney California Adventure Park from today through November 2, 2026, in honor of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Animated decorations, festive entertainment, and various activities commemorate the eternal bonds of family.
This year, live music takes center stage thanks to the return of the outdoor show “The Storytellers of the Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!” , featuring some of the film’s unforgettable songs, as well as classic Mexican melodies, performed by a traveling storytelling troupe. Also making a triumphant return are popular offerings like live mariachi music at the Paradise Garden Bandstand.
When it’s time to refuel, guests can enjoy limited-time menus inspired by Mexican cuisine at the Paradise Garden Grill, including the return of the chilaquiles torta with carnitas, the pecan gelatin cake, and the marigold margarita. Starting September 3, guests can sip in style with the new Coco Lantern Sipper, available at Rancho del Zócalo Restaurant and the Ship to Shore Marketplace at Disneyland Park, and at the Paradise Garden Grill at Disney California Adventure, as well as at other locations throughout the Resort.
This fall will see the debut of the new Disney Pixar Coco Collection, offering new clothing, accessories, hats and much more, all inspired by the movie.
The Day of the Dead celebration continues at Disneyland with a spectacular installation in Frontierland, near the Rancho del Zócalo Restaurant, adorned with calacas, catrinas and traditional skeletons associated with the Day of the Dead.
Nighttime Adventures at Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party ** returns to Disney California Adventure Park on select nights from August 18 to October 31 for guests of all ages to enjoy not-so-scary fun… Tickets are still available for this nighttime event, while supplies last. Guests can enjoy “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party,” an outdoor party hosted by Madame Leota herself, filled with unforgettable moments and spookily fun, inspired by the Haunted Mansion attraction.
Ticket holders are invited to show off their Halloween costumes and enjoy a frightfully fun evening with special food and beverages, select attractions that often feature reduced wait times, unlimited digital Disney PhotoPass downloads, a pre-party starting at 3:00 p.m., immersive trick-or-treat trails, exclusive merchandise, and much more. Joining the Disney Villains roster for a limited time this year is Yzma from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Emperor’s New Groove,” and returning crowd favorites include Ernesto de la Cruz, Maleficent, and Hades. Throughout the night, at select times, Ichabod Crane will ride through Disney California Adventure Park, eluding the sinister specter of the Headless Horseman on his black steed.
In addition, visitors can enjoy the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party , now available for an additional cost, which offers access to a reserved viewing area for “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party”, as well as a selection of pastries inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas”.
