Action Innovators is a new Dutch company that aims to offer a range of challenge-based attractions. One of its first products is the Vertical Bike, in which riders pedal to reach the top of a 12-metre tower.
An LED timer display encourages passengers to complete the feat in the quickest time and feel a sense of personal achivement.
The compact and trailer-mounted attraction can be erected almost anywhere in just 10-minutes. Only one operator is required.
Naturally such an attraction has a low throughput but Action Innovators president Gerard Wielenga says “customers are prepared to pay a high price for the individual experience.” It also offers potential as a branding or marketing tool.
