On September 27, the proposal for the “Underwater Gardens” received official approval to proceed, pending a series of environmental assessments before final authorization is granted.
The project is divided into two distinct sections: the above-water area known as the Garden Gate and the submerged regenerative Sea Garden.
If the project receives final approval, it will be established in Guía de Isora, located along the mid-western coast of Tenerife.
Additionally, there will be a biological laboratory where visitors can explore local marine life, as well as an underwater aquarium and an indoor diving centre.
