Just in time for World Sea Turtle Day on Monday, June 16, SEA LIFE Grapevine has introduced its two newest – and most inspiring – residents: Brisket and Beans, a pair of rescued green sea turtles who have found a forever home at the aquarium’s Sea Turtle Rescue Center.
These two charming sea turtles were both victims of devastating boat strikes, injuries that left them permanently unable to survive in the wild. Originally rescued and rehabilitated by our partners at the Amos Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) in Port Aransas, Brisket and Beans have now made their way to SEA LIFE Grapevine, where they’ll receive specialised care and daily enrichment.
Guests will be able to meet Brisket and Beans at the Sea Turtle Rescue Center, where they will be the stars of an interactive exhibit focused on sea turtle rescue, rehabilitation, and the ongoing conservation work that SEA LIFE participates in. Named after two of Texas’ most beloved staples, Brisket and Beans are sure to win hearts with their stories and personalities.
