Several theme parks operated by Six Flags have updated their chaperone requirements amid “increasing incidents of unruly or inappropriate behaviour” across the amusement industry.
“Safety is a top priority and we have zero tolerance for any type of disruptive behaviour,” the Six Flags spokesperson said.
The updated requirements, which have been adopted at three parks – Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington; Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell; and Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia – mandate that all guests 17 and younger be accompanied by a chaperone over the age of 21.
The chaperone can accompany up to five 17-and-under guests, but must remain in the park for the duration of the visit, Six Flags said.
More specific information on each park’s policy can be found at their individual websites.
“We are committed to providing a fun and safe environment for our guests and team members, and we expect guests to behave appropriately,” the Six Flags spokesperson said.
