The British-based simulation and effects theatre manufacturer Simworx recently completed a mobile Morphis simulator equipped with 4D technology to promote the Disney movie Race to Witch Mountain.
The ride, which was supplied to Walt Disney Pictures’ promotions agency, features a custom-produced film including scenes from Witch Mountain. This action thriller, released on Blu-ray and DVD on August 4, features high-speed chases, near hits and numerous special effects. The Morphis will tour throughout Europe to promote the film.
“Our simulation products have been used by many household names in the past to promote a variety of products and services,” notes Simworx managing director Terry Monkton. “The Mobile Morphis Movieride is ideal for promotions of this type as it is highly visible, easy to operate and a real attention grabber.”
The Morphis Movieride is available in both static and mobile versions with 2D or 3D high definition projection and a variety of 4D effects including lighting, aroma, air blasts and water jets. The space age, fibreglass capsule and accompanying transport can be “wrapped” with any design of a client’s choosing.
