Shriek Week at Drusillas this half term!

Drusillas Park will host Shriek Week this half term (23rd-31st October).

Located between Brighton and Eastbourne, visitors to the park can expect live action thrills such as Haunted Heights – Drusillas’ haunted house experience, Mummy Mayhem – a spooky takeover of the Park’s adventure maze, and the Sugar Skull Witch – a new addition for 2021.

Deputy managing director, Ollie Smith, commented on the upcoming event: “Shriek Week last year was sandwiched between two national lockdowns, and we weren’t able to offer all our visitor favourites such as Haunted Heights, so we are thrilled to be back in full frightening force this year – with even more awful offerings!”

“The whole Park is going to be draped in devilish décor, so there are endless photo opportunities” continued Ollie, “and our live action characters are back for those hilarious jump scares, including our new Sugar Skull Witch; a wickedly stylish character who travels via a hidden hoverboard, so will be quite literally floating around the Park!”

The visitor attraction has confirmed that curious kids can scuttle along to the Discovery Centre for some creepy crawly encounters and meet some amazing mini monsters. Drusillas’ education hub will be swarming with all manner of weird insects including cockroaches, millipedes, mealworms, locusts, and an Asian forest scorpion! Experts from their Zoo team will be available to answer everyone’s burning bug questions.

Parents can also transform their little angels into monsters at the petrifying parlour, with their selection of terrible tattoos and freaky face paint designs.

Ollie continued: “We take great care in planning events that are suitable for little ones, but still exciting for the rest of the family. Over the years we’ve perfected that family-friendly Halloween ambiance and invite visitors of all ages to enjoy a truly frightful visit! Well you know what they say… if you’ve got it, haunt it!”

Drusillas will be running a fancy dress competition for the best dressed during Shriek Week, with the chance to win a family ticket for four.
