Sally Dark Rides promotes Hill to chief creative officer

Sally Dark Rides has promoted Rich Hill to chief creative officer.

For many years, Hill has overseen the development of major attractions from idea origination through opening day for Sally Dark Rides.

In his position as creative director, Hill led the creation of numerous award-winning attractions that helped define Sally Dark Rides as a leader in the next generation of themed entertainment. Hill has been instrumental in successfully collaborating with licensors of intellectual properties to bring bespoke attractions to fruition. Sesame Street: Street Mission at PortAventura World and Justice League: Battle for Metropolis at numerous Six Flags parks have both been recognised with a Thea Award, the Themed Entertainment’s highest honour.

Hill brings with him over 30 years of experience in design and art production, of which 23 were with Sally. Hill holds an Industrial Design degree from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he majored in Animatronic Design and minored in CG Animation. Besides overseeing ride and show development for Sally, Hill is also a professional sculptor, illustrator, writer, and moviemaker.  His attraction designs have received recognition from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, the Themed Entertainment Association, Theme Park Insider, USA Today and others.
