Park at OWA adding dark ride

The Park at OWA, Foley, Alabama, has reopened for 2019 and will add a new ride in the summer. The Park’s newest addition will be a Sally Ghost Blasters II dark. The air-conditioned three-minute interactive ride will transport guests over a 393 foot (120 m) path in one of nine four-passenger vehicles through nine scenes filled with 10 animated figures, 73 animated props, and 91 multi-value targets. Guests will hop in a ride car and weave their way around this midway-style attraction, complete with neon colours, black lights and a mysterious storyline.

“This exciting new attraction was chosen in order to provide Park-goers an interactive, indoor ride experience,” said Kristin Hellmich, OWA’s director of marketing/PR. “It will open inside The Park at OWA early summer 2019.”

Since no official ride name has been announced, The Park is hosting an open voting contest to select the name. Guests are encouraged to go to VisitOWA.com/DarkRide and vote for one of three names. The name with the most votes will be chosen and announced in mid-March.
