Alan Lowry joins the elite of the Themed Attraction Industry

A Northern Ireland businessman will join the elite of the themed attraction industry at the prestigious International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Leadership Conference in the Middle East this week.

Alan Lowry’s award-winning company, Environmental Street Furniture (ESF), has been focussing on the themed attraction industry after securing projects worth £1.5m in the last three years; a high proportion of which have been in the Middle East, namely Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The company also exported 76% of their products to 22 countries globally in 2018, an increase of nearly 50% in three years, where they have supplied products to some of the world’s best known themed attractions in Orlando, Hong Kong, UK and Dubai.

IMG Worlds of Adventure, the world’s largest indoor theme park and Global Village are two projects that ESF designed and supplied a range of products for, with both being showcased during the Leadership Conference.

The IAAPA Leadership Conference, which takes place from 26th to 28th February, is attended by many prominent figures within the themed attractions industry. Attendees get the opportunity to have one-on-one discussions with key decision makers, gain insights into current and future trends, as well as getting exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the world’s best theme parks.

Speaking about the conference Alan Lowry said, “ESF has experienced significant growth within the themed attractions industry in the last three years and this is something that we wish to build on in the coming years. Attending IAAPA’s Leadership Conference will better place us to meet this goal and allow us to present ESF’s unique range of products and services to key decision makers.”

ESF designs and supplies a range of street, solar, security and site furnishing products, however it’s their comprehensive portfolio of themed products and their ability to bespokely customise each design to clients’ requirements, which are making headlines globally.

Alan said, “Dubai and the Middle East is already an excellent market for ESF. We’re currently finalising work at the new Dubai Arena, as well as our work at IMG and Global Village, but with the ongoing construction and development of further theme parks in the country, there is so much more potential for success. We’re hopeful of making new contacts during the leadership conference and looking forward to a busy, but beneficial week.”
