New at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk

Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, is adding three new rides. The first and main attraction is a new SBF/Visa Spinning Family Rollercoaster named the Tidal Wave. The Tidal Wave is beach and surf themed which is inspired by the iconic beach culture that makes Point Pleasant Beach one of the most desirable shore towns in New Jersey. The Tidal Wave can hold up to 20 persons at a time with a total number of five cars. This two minute ride will spin guests in a clockwise manner and reach top speeds of 20 mph. At approximately 90 feet wide and 20 feet high, the Tidal Wave is replacing the Flitzer Roller Coaser at the far south end of the amusement park.

Another new attraction is the Fun Slide, a giant three lane slide ride for which riders use a burlap sack to slide down on. The Fun Slide is manufactured by Frederiksen Industries Inc.

The last new attraction is a new Flying Buccanners ride. This ride will be located in kiddie section of the amusement park. This kiddie/family ride is user controlled and rides in a circular motion. It is manufactured by SBF/Visa.

In addition to these new attractions, Jenkinson’s has also expanded their beach at the far south end of the boardwalk, and added changing rooms, showers, and concessions.
