Virginia’s Kings Dominion amusement park will introduce its 15th and most expensive coaster next season.
Intimidator 305 takes it title from the nickname of one of stock car racing’s most beloved and tenacious drivers, Dale Earnhardt, combined with the ride’s maximum height, 305ft. The trains will roar through 5,100ft of steel track featuring six airtime humps and three high-speed turns.
Designed by Intamin, Intimidator 305 will be the tallest and fastest coaster of its kind on the US East Coast, boasting an 85-degree first drop and top speed in excess of 90 mph. The ride will last three-minutes. Intimidator 305 will be located in the park’s Congo section.
