Sabrina de Carvalho joins Gardaland as managing director

Sabrina de Carvalho, managing director of Heide Park Resort, will take over the role of managing director of Italy’s largest amusement park, Gardaland Resort from May 1.

In 2013, de Carvalho returned to Heide Park Resort as general manager after overseeing the further development of Midway’s Merlin attractions from 2011-2013. Prior to that, de Carvalho was marketing director at Heide Park from 2003 to 2011. Major milestones under her leadership have included the reopening of the Colossos wooden coaster and the launch of IP attractions such as How to Train Your Dragon – The Island, Ghostbusters 5D and Peppa Pig Land.

In her additional role as regional RTP Europe, de Carvalho will continue to have overall responsibility for Heide Park Resort. Finance director Peter Dunn takes over the interim management during the recruiting for the position of Managing Director.
