Drayton Manor Introduces The Wave

Anticipated to open this Spring- The Wave at Drayton Manor!

A reduced height restriction put in place- of just 1.2m, a new train, and new effects, this exhilarating roller coaster is set to excite thrill seekers of all ages by becoming the UK’s most thrilling family coaster!

‘The Wave’ is an updated version of the park’s iconic Shockwave coaster, transforming from a standing roller coaster into a sit-down attraction, so even smaller guests can enjoy the new ride experience.

This new coaster has maintained many of Shockwave’s original features, including top speeds of 53 mph, and a level 4 g-force at 12 feet high. However, some added features include four inversions, a unique zero-gravity roll, and a double corkscrew feature.
