The world’s first-ever Lego Harry Potter hotel and theme park is set to launch in Germany’s Legoland Deutschland Resort.

Developed in partnership with Merlin Entertainments and Warner Bros Discovery Global Experiences, the new attractions will bring the fantasy story to life in brick form.

Merlin, the group behind all Legoland parks worldwide as well as other entertainment venues such as Madame Tussauds, said the Harry Potter project will mark its largest-ever single investment in an existing project.

Currently, the project development is anticipated to take three years, with more details expected to be revealed over the next 12 months.

The new destination will be added to the existing structure of Legoland Deutschland, which currently features 68 attractions across 11 themed areas. It will incorporate the aesthetics of the Harry Potter wizarding world, featuring key characters and spellcasting elements.

Fiona Eastwood, chief executive of Merlin Entertainments, said: “We’re incredibly excited to unveil Lego Harry Potter on an epic scale, as we accelerate the growth of Legoland Resorts and elevate them into world-class destinations.

“Partnering with Warner Bros Discovery Global Experiences is the ultimate showcase of what we do best, transforming the world’s most iconic brands into memorable, immersive experiences for millions of guests.”
