Sundown Adventureland grants Mother’s Day wishes with £8 tickets

Family owned fairy tale theme park, Sundown Adventureland will be giving mums a special treat this Mother’s Day by offering them a discount on Sunday 22 March. For one day only, tickets for mums will be £8. Tickets can be purchased on the day at the gate or booked in advance from the website.

Gaynor Corr, park director at Sundown Adventureland, said: “We all know how important it is to show our mums how much we love them, and we want to enable our guests to do just that. As a family-owned business I have the pleasure of working alongside my 91-year-old mother Audrey, as well as my children Debs, Shaun and Luke.

“We have a variety of outdoor areas that are perfect for family picnics as the weather starts to get warmer and we encourage everyone to take this opportunity to treasure those quality family moments on Mother’s Day.”

Families are invited to explore the 30-acre park’s magical map of rides and attractions, including a Rocky Mountain Railroad ride through the deepest outback, a Jolly Pirate Boat ride along the water and a journey through Lollipoppet Castle, a fairy-tale fort with its very own candy-coated scent of liquorice and sweets.

Guests can also start the day by treating their mums at the park’s Crash Landings café, which serves a selection of bacon and sausage sandwiches, toasted teacakes and hot drinks.

Owned by the Rhodes family since 1968, Sundown Adventureland attracts over 270,000 visitors a year. The park has up to 120 staff at peak season, not forgetting mascots Honey and Sunny and Kiki and Koko, who join the guests on the park every day. In 2019, TripAdvisor voted it the 23rd best theme park in Europe.
