Six Flags Over Georgia has rolled out an exciting new attraction that promises to take park thrills to the next level.
Last weekend, the park will officially open its gates for the 2025 season with opening day festivities. Among them was an invitation to guests to experience the highly anticipated Georgia Gold Rusher, a revolutionary new rollercoaster that marks a significant milestone for the theme park.
“As the park’s 12 coaster and the world’s first free-spinning gondola coaster, this attraction represents our team’s commitment to delivering unmatched thrills, immersive entertainment and lifelong memories,” said Greg Fuller, general manager at Six Flags Over Georgia.
“With a new rollercoaster and a multitude of enhancements throughout the park, this season will build on our park legacy, bringing new energy and excitement for our loyal fans and future park guests.”
Designed to offer a one-of-a-kind ride experience, Georgia Gold Rusher is the first attraction to boast free-spinning gondola seating, ensuring that no two trips over the track feel the same.
Riders are launched back and forth along a 590-foot U-shaped track, reaching 60 mph and soaring to 144 feet in the air. The coaster features seven “airtime” moments, including three gravity-defying moments on gravity stall ramps and four weightless sensations on its central hill.
