Construction has begun on Austria’s first Gerstlauer rollercoaster.
According to Familypark Neusiedlersee owner Mario Müller, Rattenmühle (Rat Mill) will be located in the Bauernhof (Farmyard) area of the park, near the apple-themed Wave Swinger, and be available for guests to ride from June onwards.
Featuring 430-metres of track, the Bobsled coaster will feature four-seater cars that travel at up to 54km/h through a succession of tight curves, camelbacks and steep drops integrated into the park’s existing terrain.
Located in the Burgenland wine region (near Lake Neusiedlersee), Familypark Neusieldersee’s existing coasters include the Mack Pegasus coaster Götterblitz as well as a simple Heege Butterfly shuttle coaster. The 2013 season starts on March 23.
