Based on a popular Danish cartoon franchise, Rasmus Klump’s Verden at Tivoli in Copenhagen is a new play area featuring the popular bear (also known as Petzi).
Located opposite City Hall, the 1,300 sq ft addition to the park is already proving a popular picnic spot with families, and everyday numerous mums and dads arrive complete with strollers.
Soft surfaces and small jumping jets of water create an enticing but safe environment for young kids. The play area, which was created by Jumana Brodersen of The J Co (ex-Busch Gardens), also features the world’s first Klump-themed ride, comprising six pedal-powered boats shaped like prehistoric animals.
Food and beverage is available at a pancake house and nursing room inside the whale’s mouth. Rasmus Klump, meanwhile, is available to meet and greet every day during peak season between 2 and 6pm.
