Puy du Fou is a globally recognized leader, renowned for its award-winning historical live performances and immersive experiences that celebrate the history and culture of a country and its people.

In July 2024, they revealed initial ideas to introduce their distinctive experience to the UK at a selected location near Bicester in Oxfordshire. After thorough public consultation, they have now further expanded the details of their plans.

 

Puy Du Fou are storytellers, creating live shows depicting hoistorical events inspired and rooted in local heritage, local culture and local heroes. Their two existing parks in France and Spain have won 22 awards around the world in the last five years.

The hisotrial shows and period villages are carfully built and crafted by materials of the time they represent, set in woodland and beautiful gardens.

 

Puy Du Fou stated ‘they have wanted to come to the UK for many years, to have the opportunity to celebrate Britain’s rich and colourful history’.

They needed a ‘large site, geographically well located, with excellent transport links and within easy reach of London and Birmingham’.

The site they had chosen is near Junction 10 of the M40 in Oxfordshire, roughly three kilometres north of Bicester, near the village of Bucknell.
