Interactive, light-up floor game company Pixel Games, has hit a landmark milestone, following its installation of a custom gaming floor at Netflix House in Dallas, Texas, the new location-based entertainment venue from the streaming platform Netflix.
Measuring 13 metres x 16 metres, the attraction brings the TV show Floor is Lava to life, allowing players to navigate the lava in a physical way. The installation has taken Pixel Games US past 100 active locations in North America and is able to be found in family entertainment centres, bowling venues and arcades across the continent.
Jeff Willy, chief executive of Pixel Games US, said: “Reaching 100 locations is a testament to the incredible demand for social, active gaming, but seeing our technology power an experience as iconic as Netflix’s Floor is Lava is a true pinch-me moment.
“I am incredibly proud of how far Pixel has come in such a short time. I am looking forward to more unique partnerships like the Netflix House as we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in the out-of-home entertainment space.”
