Parc Spirou inauguration planned for June 1st

Parc Spirou are preparing to welcome visitors for the first time this summer. Situated on the Beaulieu Zone in Monteux – a site at the centre of a new leisure-oriented economic development centre – the park has been designed to emulate the urban architecture of major American cities.

Parc Spirou is inspired by Franco-Belgian comic Spirou et Fantasio, and the park hopes to promote exchanges between generations; attracting young guests as well as parents and grandparents who may have grown up with the Spirou comics.

Planned to be family-friendly and child centric, many of the attractions will be accessible to little ones from ages four and up.

Fifteen attractions are planned for Park Spirou, and after six years the park plans to occupy eight hectares of land and install 25 to 30 rides, prioritising attractions with interactivity. Currently, German manufacturer Zierer has provided three rollercoasters to the park; Gold Mine of the Daltons, Racing Gallery, and Train Treetop.

Guests will also be able to meet their favourite character-mascots or watch them in mini-shows scheduled throughout the day.
