Nice number of bookings for EAS

As of September 10, organisers of the Euro Attractions Show (EAS) had sold more than half of the exhibit space for this coming January’s event in Nice, France.

One hundred companies has apparently confirmed their attendance – a 10% increase on bookings the same time last year for EAS 2007 in Seville, Spain, which took place with an eventual 272 exhibitors.

“We are very pleased with the early interest in the show in Nice,” says Charlie Bray, IAAPA’s US-based president and CEO, who also acts as and managing director of EAS. “Many exhibitors were pleased with the results of the show in Seville and we anticipate similar or greater success in Nice.”

Some of the exhibitors conformed so far for January’s show include ABC Rides Bob’s Space Racers, C&S, Deco Leisure, Emiliana Luna Park Empex Watertoys, ETF Ride Systems, Forrec, Gateway Ticketing Systems, Hafema, Heege, Hofmann, Imaginvest, Intamin, Jack Rouse Associates, KMG, Mondial, Moser Rides, National Ticket Co, Pama Rides, Lamborghini, Premier Rides, Preston & Barbieri, RDC, Sally Corporation, SBF, Technical Park, Vekoma and Zamperla.

A diverse and extensive educational programme is also planned at as part of the event. Seminars will address such issues as Web 2.0, the latest thinking on ride purchasing and financing, developing seasonal events and facility theming and design. There will also be a behind-the-scenes tour of nearby attraction Marineworld.

Euro Attractions Show takes place at the Acropolis Congress and Exhibition Center in Nice, France, from January 23 to 25, 2008. A second EAS is planned later in the year during the Oktoberfest in Munich, running from September 30 to October 2. See www.euroas.com for more information.
