The future of the Niagara Amusement Park and Splash World on Grand Island is uncertain after the owner announced it will not be open for the 2026 summer season.

This is something that has been widely talked about on social media during the offseason.

Park officials are confirming those concerns, saying in a statement that attendance and revenue in recent seasons simply haven’t been enough to cover operating costs or support the investment needed to keep the park running.

The amusement park has not clarified whether this is a permanent or temporary closure.
