A new report has featured the top 10 entertainment parks in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) for 2024, and the UK claims a spot as the ninth best.

According to the research from Mousenotifier.com, Thorpe Park ranked ninth in the region, welcoming 1.62 million visitors in 2023, with 2.7m global searches, 292,500 Instagram tags, and 34,200 Google reviews.

The Global Theme Parks: Attendance and Ranking Report 2024 ranked 85 theme parks based on annual attendance, search volume, Instagram tags, and Google reviews. A weighted scoring system prioritized attendance (40%) and online metrics (20% each). Data came from TEA, Ahrefs, and manual searches.

Disneyland Paris, Vallée, France
As the #1 park in EMEA and #2 globally, Disneyland Paris welcomed 10.4m visitors in 2023, making it the region’s crown jewel. The park continues to captivate imaginations, drawing 726K global searches and receiving seven million Instagram tags. With an impressive 293,900 Google reviews, Disneyland Paris remains the go-to destination for European families and tourists alike.

Efteling, Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands
Ranked #2 in EMEA and #10 globally, Efteling drew 5.56m visitors in 2023. Its fairy-tale magic resonates online as well, with 5.1m global searches, 731,000 Instagram tags, and 121,200 Google reviews, proving its immense popularity across both visitors and social media.

Puy du Fou, Les Epesses, France
With 2.5m visitors, Puy du Fou is one of France’s most unique parks, offering historical reenactments and performances. It generated 6.5m global searches, showing strong international interest, while also amassing 222,000 Instagram tags and 87,800 Google reviews, highlighting its growing appeal.

Europa Park, Rust, Germany
Europa Park, Germany’s top theme park, drew six million visitors in 2023. With 79,200 global searches and an impressive 752,500 Instagram tags, it remains one of Europe’s top attractions. The park’s 172,400 Google reviews further emphasize its reputation as a must-visit destination.

Next door to Disneyland Paris, Parc Walt Disney Studios saw 5.7m visitors in 2023. This park is also popular online, generating 12,000 searches and 74,500 Instagram tags. With 77,100 Google reviews, visitors continue to enjoy its movie-themed experiences.

PortAventura World, Tarragona, Spain
PortAventura World attracted 3.98m visitors in 2023. Its online presence includes 93,000 Instagram tags and 107,800 Google reviews, reflecting the park’s status as Spain’s top destination for theme park lovers. It was searched 12,000 times globally, showing its appeal across Europe and beyond.

Gardaland, Verona, Italy
With 3.07m visitors, Gardaland is Italy’s premier theme park. It drew 34,800 searches and was tagged in 462,000 Instagram posts, while its 116,200 Google reviews highlight its popularity among Italian and international visitors.
