Walibi Rhone-Alpes, opened their new single-rail roller coaster to the public with “Mahuka”, an Intamin Hot Racer, on June 15, 2024.
This ride invites visitors to explore the heart of an abandoned temple- ‘built in honor of the God of Fire on a secluded island in the South Pacific’. With the name Mahuka, meaning “escape” in Hawaiian.
Intamin’s Hot Racer is a single–rail roller coaster, designed to maximize thrills in a compact space. With its narrow track design, the Hot Racer travels on the track with unparalleled flexibility- providing riders with even more thrill.
Mahuka allows riders to experience maximum comfort and freedom using Intamin’s highly successful LSM seat design, considered ‘one of the most comfortable coaster seats on the market’.
In addition, the seats were enhanced with new padding to accommodate riders as small as 4 ft, unaccompanied.
