Beginning early in the 2018 season, Europa-Park will welcome train driver Luke and best friend Jim Knopf from Michael Ende’s children’s books. Stationed in the German themed area of the park, Jim Button – Journey through Morrowland takes passengers past mountains and decorated houses and backdrops.
Four passengers can board the train – named Emma – for a three-minute-long family themed trip.
All eight Mack Rides trains are equipped with steam and bells that can be rung by the riders, and the attraction has been developed with cooperation from Warner Bros, Rat Pack, Malao, and Michael Ende to coincide with the theatrical release of Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver from 29th March.
“Michael Ende is a great storyteller who has created many worlds full of poetry and adventure in his novels. For generations, the Mack family has been transforming fantasy worlds into exciting reality,” said Roman Hocke, representative of Michael Ende heirs community. “Jim Button, with his Morrowland, has now attained a firm place among the fantastic world of this traditional family business. We wish all visitors a lot of fun!”
Jim Button – Journey through Morrowland will open from 24th March 2018.
