Theme Park, Amusement Park and Attractions Industry News

Interschau-Technofolies

Despite a plethora of trade shows this winter, organisers of Interschau-Technofolies are reporting “decidedly positive feedback of many reputable manufacturers, service providers and amusement park operators” for their upcoming event in Stuttgart, Germany.

Those words come from Helmut Gels, CEO of the Deutsche Schaustellerbund (DSB) or German Showmen’s Association), and this year Interschau will reinforce its travelling fairground roots as it attempts to make an impact just one month after the Euro Attractions Show in Munich.

For the first time this year, there will be a caravan area where suppliers such as Weippert and Tabbert will present their latest products. Much of the supporting educational programme, which begins a day earlier (October 28) than the exhibition itself, will also be tailored towards the travelling side of the business, including a number of discussing academic and professional training opportunities for fairground and circus families.

Support for the event, which now incorporates the Italian exhibition Technofolies, has been confirmed from the Amusement industry Council of Europe (AiCE), the European Showmen’s Union (ESU), the Italian Showmen’s Association Anesv-Agis and of course the DSB.

Together with partners Travel Point and Stuttgart Marketing, organisers have assembled some attractive packages, including travel, hotel accommodation and a ticket to the exhibition with a welcome drink and a visit to the city’s world-famous Mercedes Museum. Behind the scenes tours will also be offered at the nearby Tripsdrill theme park, which Park World can thoroughly recommend.

Interschau-Technofolies takes place at the new Messe Stuttgart exhibition centre, right by the city’s airport, from Tuesday to Thursday, October 29 to 31, with the “Big Debate” education forum kicking off on October 28.
