Hot Ice 2011

The award-winning Hot Ice show returns to the Pleasure Beach in Blackpool (England) this summer after the 2010 production proved to be the most successful show to date.

The skating show features everything that is hot in ice skating with 28 of the very best performers from around the world taking to the ice in stunning costumes, accompanied by mesmerising music, state-of-the art lighting and explosive effects.

Show numbers include ‘Fire’ a high energy pyrotechnic spectacular with fire-breathing skaters, fast skating, daring lifts and the infamous “head banger spin.” Other scenes will see performers gracefully fly above the ice suspended from silk.

The winner of several IAAPA “big E” awards, Hot Ice returned to the Pleasure Beach after a brief sojourn in 2010, bolstered by the popularity of TV show Dancing On Ice, which features several of the show’s performers. Appearing in the 2011 production will be Katie Stainsby, Trent Nelson Bond and Anna Lioveria.

The show is produced and directed by Pleasure Beach managing director Amanda Thompson. The Pleasure Beach Arena has been home to regular ice shows since 1937.

The latest production of Hot Ice will run from July 6 to September 4. Matinee performances cost £5 and evening shows £10 for Pleasure Beach wristband/pass holders. Alternatively, tickets are £11.50/£20.
