Foxwoods Resort Casino, Mashantucket, Connecticut, has introduced the Foxwoods HighFlyer Zipline. It is the next phase of Foxwoods’ long-term development plan to provide guests with outdoor adventure experiences.
Operated by Redwood Parks Co., the Foxwoods Highflyer Zipline is a 33-story high adventure. It launches guests from the top of the Fox Tower to the Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center at a top speed of 60 mph (97 kph). This allows guests to soar above the grounds of the Mashantucket Pequot reservation on four parallel lines running over 3,750 feet (1,143 m) long. Following last fall’s opening of the Thrill Tower at Foxwoods, the addition of the zipline speaks to the resort’s ongoing commitment to building an all-inclusive Northeast destination that offers unique experiences beyond traditional gaming.
“At Foxwoods, our continued mission has been to reimagine what a modern-day resort casino should entail,” said Jason Guyot, senior vice president, Resort Operations at Foxwoods Resort Casino. “The Foxwoods HighFlyer Zipline is our next step in that process, and will offer our guests a truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We look forward to the continued evolution of Foxwoods Extreme Adventures, and can’t wait to reveal what else is on the horizon.”
