by Mondial
Riders experience unpredictable movements on the Heartbreaker, one of two new rides produced by recently by Mondial with a previously unheard of small footprint.
The attraction comprises a short arm on a slope with two flipping eight-seater gondolas either side. As the arm turns, the axis supporting the gondolas stays level, while the riders somersault backwards and forwards. Each gondola flips independently of the other and generally in the opposite direction to the other. The operator has a degree of control over the patterns, however, by the direction in which they turn the main arm.
The 16-seater ride occupies a 9 x 16 metre footprint and packs onto just one trailer. Larger versions are available for parks. The example you see here, named Phoenix, is currently operating in Belgium and a second is currently in production for an American customer.
