The leading Chinese attractions operator OCT has confirmed Wuhan will be the location for its fifth Happy Valley theme park after signing an agreement in late May with the local government.
The new park will be located in the Donfu resort area of what is the Hubei Province’s capital city. Although still very much in the planning stages, the new venture is expected to be slightly different in content to existing Happy Valleys in Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai.
OCT expects annual attendance at its parks and attractions, which also include a number of eco-resorts, to reach 30 million by 2018. Happy Valley Shanghai, in the Sheshan district of the city, is scheduled to open on July 28 this year.
