GRS Fantasy Park goes cashless with Semnox’s Parafait

Semnox Solutions has successfully enabled GRS Fantasy Park, Mysuru, to switch to complete automation. GRS Fantasy Park is a family water park and is one of the top tourist destinations in the beautiful city of Mysuru, Karnataka. Spread across 40 acres of lush vibrant greenery and pleasant surroundings, GRS offers an adventure filled day for the entire family. With over 40 world-class dry and wet adventure rides, GRS has become one of the top water parks across India.

With Semnox’s Parafait suite of products, GRS has moved from cash based ticketing to end-to-end RFID-based cashless systems. Doing away with the manual cash-n-carry ticketing process at the entrance as well as the various counters has simplified guest access. While the online ticketing module helps visitors to book tickets online, RFID cards facilitate entry to the park through the flap barriers. The access gates at the entry points feature the Semnox digital signage solution with attractive displays that guide guests to various attractions along with facilitating advertisement of offers and packages.

GRS Fantasy Park’s business head, Ashwin Dange comments: “We began this journey of overhauling our ticketing systems over a year ago. Before we finalised on Semnox, we did a lot of research about the various service providers in the industry from Indian to international players. Now, I am glad to say that we chose Semnox on this journey of ours. From the time we started listing our requirements to the time we finally trained our staff and went live, Team Semnox has been excellent and professional every step of the way. The icing on the cake was the glitch less transition from the old system to the new Semnox system. I would like to thank everyone at Semnox and my team at GRS for great effort in pulling off such a huge transition so smoothly.”

Silicon RFID wristbands give visitors access to the tripod turnstile (entry gate) at the virtual reality 5D-Ride. These wristbands also enable cashless transactions at the F&B, rental, retail, and locker counters inside the park. These customized wristbands ensure easy readability even in tough ambient conditions.

The Semnox Parafait module has been installed at all Point-of-Sale (POS) counters such as food kiosks, rental counters, merchandise counters, and photo booths, as well as those in the two full-fledged restaurants inside the park.

“GRS has been very clear from day one with their requirements of wanting to streamline their operations via a single integrated system like ours. This clarity enabled Semnox to provide an excellent solution with smooth implementation at GRS. From day one GRS has been an ideal parter and we look forward continued successful partnership. Semnox is grateful to the whole team of GRS for the support and managing the change so seamlessly. We are happy to welcome GRS to the esteemed list of clients we have” said Umesh Prabhu, Director, Semnox.

The centralised reporting system has made it possible to control financial operations, simplifying processes for the finance team at GRS. All the reporting from individual counters can be easily consolidated at the end of each day.

Further with the implementation of the Semnox campaign and promotions management module, it is possible for GRS to effectively reach out to their customers via SMS or email.

“The transition to the new Semnox system has brought in a new vigour into the team. Previously, we used to struggle for reports but now all these reports are readily available real time. This has enabled us to be better informed and take business decisions faster. This big a transition wouldn’t have been possible without the ardent efforts of my team members. I was skeptical at first if the members of the team who had never used a computer in the past would be able to transition to an all computer system. But I am glad to inform that the easy UI of the Semnox POS has enabled all my team members to be tech savvy and handle daily operations on a computer without any issues,” explained Balakrishna Kini, operations head, GRS Fantasy Park.

GRS is also poised to introduce the Semnox Parafait system in its Snow Park that will be launched by the end of 2018 adjacent to the existing facility.
