Gotham City takeover in Texas

Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington, has expanded the Gotham City section of the park with the addition of three villainous new rides.

Riddler Revenge by Zamperla (below) is a Giant Discovery pendulum ride that sends passengers swinging back and forth while rotating counterclockwise. The ride propels riders at speeds of nearly 70mph (113kmh) higher and higher until they experience a feeling of weightlessness at 147ft (45m) in the air.

On Catwoman Whip (below), a Zamperla Endeavour pictured left, 48 riders, sitting in rows of two, are spun and tilt in a circular motion, building up speed as the ride whips around.

The third ride, Harley Quinn Spinsanity, is a classic Tilt-a-Whirl (below).
