It developed from a family entertainment centre into an amusement park, and now Orlando’s Fun Spot America has ambitions to become a theme park.
The International Drive (I-Drive) attraction has chosen locally-based Falcon’s Creative Group to help design its long range plan.
One of Falcon’s renderings – pictured above – shows a carnival-like boardwalk atmosphere themed around a central water fountain. A new area and attractions such as a skyway ride are planed together with waterpark features and more rides occupying space on the north side of Fun Spot Way. The expansion also includes a parking garage and new food & beverage partners.
Located close to Universal Orlando resort, Fun Spot America is one of two Orlando area parks bearing the Fun Spot name, the other being in Kissimmee, closer to Walt Disney World.
