Fun Spot Manufacturing partners with SUMBA

Fun Spot Manufacturing, an Abeo company and a leader in the design and manufacturing of trampoline and adventure parks, has partnered with SUMBA, the creators of a cloud-based single system of engagement for education, inspections, operations, and maintenance for the location-based entertainment industry.
Fun Spot has been a leading industry advocate for the safety and principled development of trampoline and adventure parks for more than forty years.

SUMBA’s founders have been manufacturing attractions, building and inspecting trampoline and adventure parks, and developing best practices in risk management for themselves and their clients for over a decade.

Long before the COVID-19 pandemic brought about so much uncertainty and change, the leaders at Fun Spot are said to have recognised that SUMBA’s operations platform could enhance the services they currently provide to their Fun Spot customers including comprehensive business, operations and safety training, project management, installation and post-install maintenance.

“In 2019, we were already considering how we could provide a more efficient court monitor, safety training and inspection platform for our customers,” said Matt Hubbard, director of sales and design at Fun Spot. “Upon learning about the SUMBA platform and the history and knowledge of the owners and developers of the system, we began an exhaustive process of due diligence and came to a determination that this partnership would bring a unique product and unparalleled value to our park owners and operators.”

The two teams have been collaborating on how to best serve their customers post-coronavirus and recognise the changes owners and operators will need to consider when they reopen their doors for business. Turnover in employees, new regulations, increased checklists and management processes, and the need for more efficient operations are some of the key areas to consider.

“We see the E-Learning features being a valuable tool as parks start the process of re-hiring or acclimating their pre-COVID-19 employees to changes that may be coming within their parks,” said Jason Proffitt, CEO and co-founder of SUMBA. “We are excited about our partnership with Fun Spot and the opportunity to provide a cost-savings approach to getting these parks running efficiently and in compliance with current and potentially new regulations as we all start to consider what will be the ‘new normal’ for the industry.”
