Freestyle Music Park, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, has introduced three new family-friendly characters as it continues to distance itself from the former Hard Rock Park. Boom The Troll, Piper the Elf and Clover the Garden Fairy perform live in the Faerie Glenn area of the park.
“We’re thrilled to announce the addition of Boom, Piper and Clover to the Freestyle Music Park entertainment family,” says John Stine, director of sales and marketing. “Being a family-friendly Park, their presence only adds to our commitment in providing the best entertainment for the entire family to enjoy.”
To launch the characters, the park mounted an integrated marketing campaign featuring a special website.
Park representatives went out into Myrtle Beach prior to official launch of the characters and shot them interacting with the local population with no mention of Freestyle Music Park. The only clue was the website and a series of “Lost Troll” flyers pasted around town.
