Flamingo Land ups coaster count

The British amusement park Flamingo Land is this summer offering its guests the choice of nine rollercoasters following the addition of a Volare flying coaster and Junior Twister Coaster, both by Zamperla.

Volare, which the park has named Hero, features four-abreast ride vehicles, boarded in the station in an upright position before being tiled upright parallel to the track. The ride begins with a clever spiral lift section, followed by swooping turns. Breathtaking drops and two heartline inversions. The ride features a total track length of 1,293 feet (395m) of track and is featured in the Metropolis area of the park, roughly where the Wild Mouse once stood.

The Twister Coaster, or Twistosauarus, appears as part of a new Jurassic-themed area of Flamingo Land called Dino-Stone Park. The attraction features 575ft (175m) of track and travels up to 26ft (8m) above the ground. Equipped with a single train of four egg-shaped cars, it can accommodate passengers as short as 1.05m. Also featured as part of Dino-Stone is a Zamperla Magic Bikes ride called Cyclosaur.
