Final thoughts on the 2021 season, before looking to the next?

Thorsten Backhaus, Movie Park Germany

Movie Park Germany closed its 25th anniversary season with a successful Halloween Horror Festival and a solid increase in visitors compared to the previous year. We hope for a regular start to this year’s season and to be able to reopen our previously closed attractions such as the stunt show ‘Crazy Cops New York’, the 4-D cinema, ‘Time Riders’ and ‘The Lost Temple’.

Bikash Randhawa, Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Australia

A highlight for 2021 for Village Roadshow Theme Parks, was our Hooray for Hollywood event which we hosted to celebrate Warner Bros. Movie World’s 30th Birthday. The event featured the park’s biggest parade ever, a massive all-star cast and exciting character-driven experiences.

Another highlight was celebrating Sea World’s 50th Birthday and we marked the momentous occasion with a celebration on the Sea World Ski Lake with a gigantic 50th birthday cake and a host of park’s most-loved characters and experiences.

2022 is going to be a big year for Village Roadshow Theme Parks and we are excitingly opening The New Atlantis precinct at Sea World including the Leviathan, which will be the largest wooden coaster in Australia and will take guests on a thundering 90 second quest across wooden terrain, through exhilarating banked turns, crossovers, drops and dips and the Trident which will be Sea World’s newest and tallest landmark, towering in the heart of The New Atlantis precinct, where guests can defy gravity as they soar and spin freely 42 metres above the sea.

After a delayed start to the 2021 season, we were pleased and surprised to observe a gradual return to near normal attendance, with a level of satisfaction and emotion still at the top for visitors.

Regarding the 2022 season, we hope that next year will mark the end of this uncertain period to turn the page and focus on all our new creations to come. All our energy is already concentrated on the future and on the emotion that we want to share with our visitors to our shows in France, Spain and China.
