Festival City comes to Walibi Rhône-Alpes

Walibi Rhône-Alpes’ new area Festival City, which is set to open for the 2018 season, will feature three new attractions by Zamperla.

The first attraction of its kind installed in a French amusement park, the Vertical Swing has a capacity of 32 passengers and reaches 49.7 meters high. Sitting on a swing, visitors experience a two minutes escape from gravity.

The Samba Balloon, meanwhile, features an ‘express delivery’ of a cargo of balloons which creates a colourful attraction for the whole

family. Great for young children, with a height restriction of 90cm, Samba Balloon offers 32 passengers in groups of 4 a trip up to 2.5 meters high.

Located next to the lake, the Rockin’ Tug boat gives the 24 sailors a two-minute ride. They won’t get seasick, but may face some waves… from both the front and the back!

The Festival City zone will extend from the entrance of the park to the historic village and will offer a number of permanent festivities. The colours, the lively music and the warm atmosphere aim to create a world reminiscent of distant and exotic countries.
