EAS Paris to celebrate best of the amusement industry

An address from Disneyland Paris president Philippe Gas and a party at a museum celebrating the amusement industry are promised for this September’s Euro Attractions Show (EAS) in Paris.

Organiser IAAPA Europe has revealed that over 300 companies have already confirmed their participation in the three-day event in the French capital. In fact, exhibitor numbers are up 10% over the successful EAS last October in Berlin, consolidating the event’s position as the largest European trade show, conference and meeting place for the theme park and attractions industry.

Gas will be the keynote speaker at the Leadership Breakfast planned on the second day of the show, 19 September. Topics outlined so far for the wider EAS education programme, on 18/19 September, include technology, storytelling, safety, in-park spending, human resources and waterparks. A separate programme of seminars and workshops on 20 September will focus on family entertainment centres and indoor play.

Ahead of the main event, from 15 to 17 September, Disneyland Paris will host the IAAPA Institute for Attraction Managers, as well as a special Safety Summit on 17 September. Together with Parc Astérix, the resort will also host a behind-the-scenes tour for EAS attendees.

As always, there will be some great networking opportunities during the week at EAS. The Opening Reception is always a great evening, but this year’s fixture on 18 September should be a real treat, taking place amongst the historic carousels and other fairground artefacts at the beautiful Musée des Arts Forains.

Euro Attractions Show 2013 takes place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from Wednesday to Friday, September 18 to 20.
