Thomas ushers in the festive season
Drayton Manor theme park in Staffordshire, England, will welcome its first winter season when the park reopens for a Christmas themed event from November 22 onwards.
The park entertained the idea of Drayton’s Magical Christmas following the opening of its new Thomas Land children’s area at the start of the season, and the new land will feature strongly in its festive plans. Also included are a major new live show, Santa’s Magical Adventure, which will take place inside the Big Top Theatre, produced by Paul Hammond.
At Thomas Land, which has provided Drayton with unprecedented success this season, families will be able to enjoy all the Thomas and Friends themed rides and attractions with additional features such as Santa, reindeer and real snow. Every child under 10 will also receive a Christmas present.
“We are very much looking forward to Drayton’s Magical Christmas,” comments the park’s Helen Pawley-Tuft. “Bookings are going extremely well and we are confident it will be another very successful event for Drayton Manor.”
This main 2008 season came to a close with a Fireworks Weekender at the beginning of November. Drayton’s Magical Christmas runs from November 22 until January 4 (except December 24 to 26).
