The popular theme park Dollywood has announced a temporary closure and will not reopen for several weeks.
The theme park and water park closed on Monday, January 5; the theme park attracts around three million visitors each year, and will reopen on March 13. The Dollywood water park will reopen its doors on May 23.
The closure will allow workers to renovate rides and other attractions ahead of the new theme park season.
The seasonal shutdown comes just weeks after bosses were forced to shut down the park due to cold weather.
Dollywood, which is owned by legendary singer Dolly Parton, consists of dozens of rides for different age groups. The park’s Thunderhead wooden rollercoaster reaches top speeds of 55mph and features a 100-foot drop.
