Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Disney’s first ride-through attraction featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, has opened at Disneyland.
Located inside the El CapiTOON Theater, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway has launched amid the resort’s Disney100 celebrations.
The attraction made its debut at Walt Disney World in March 2020. At Disneyland, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is part of Mickey’s Toontown, which reopens on 8 March 2023.
“Toontown has always been a special place for me, it just feels like home,” said cast member Darian Jackson. “Coming back, this is my legacy; it really is a piece of Disneyland history.”
To experience the new ride, guests will need to join a free virtual queue via the Disneyland app. There is no standby option, and the virtual queue opens at 7am and 1pm.
“Getting to open Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway has really been one of the most exciting things to see come together,” said cast member Veronica Venzor.
“Seeing all the cast members from different lands come together… it’s definitely an emotional and proud moment.”
