Canada’s Wonderland opens new attractions

Canada’s Wonderland, Vaughn, Ontario, opened with new ride Lumberjack, interactive family ride Flying Canoes, and an extensive entertainment lineup of live shows, food festivals, a month-long Celebration Canada event and more.

By Zamperla, Lumberjack is a thrill ride that takes guests soaring to heights of 75 feet (21m) on two swinging axe pendulums, propelling them into a looping 360° experience. Flying Canoes is an interactive family ride from Preston & Barbieri that will allow riders to control their journey of flight in two-person canoes that rotate speedily around a circuit.

When Splash Works opens May 26, Canada’s Wonderland will also unveil the newly transformed kids pool and splash area, Lakeside Lagoon. Splash Island’s children’s pool in Splash Works will be expanded to double its size and feature all-new interactive spray features.

“At Canada’s Wonderland, we strive to provide season-long entertainment for our guests through a variety of experiences,” said Norm Pirtovshek, general manager. “Between our exciting new rides, Splash Works and our full calendar of special events and live shows, there’s something for everyone, every day of the season.”
