August 8 saw the grand opening of the Brogent Technology flying theater attraction, Flyover China, at the Shijingshan Amusement Park in Beijing, China. Guests board one of seven gondolas for a ten minute flight around china, sitting with their feet dangling up to 12m in the air, facing a 20m diameter hemispherical dome screen.
Flyover China is the first i-Ride theater to feature a video system with multiple laser projectors.
The CEO of Brogent Group C.H. Ouyang mentioned that the theatre is operated by Brogent together with local partner Flyover China, and that the opening is only the start of a more long-term partnership, with more projects in China in the pipeline.
The panoramic i-Ride system has a capacity of 70 guests per show, and state-of-the-art electric actuators move seven motion base modules with six degrees of freedom. Each gondola provides seating for 10 guests, and during the show they can experience special effects like wind, mist and different aromas.
Brogent Technologies delivered the ride system, the dome screen and the AV system for the Flyover China as a turnkey solution. Brogent Global, a subsidiary of Brogent Technologies, was in charge of concept for the pre-show area as well as movie production.
