Magic Springs Theme and Water Park, Hot Springs, Arkansas, has introduced its first new thrill ride in a decade, Brain Drain. The park is celebrating its 40th anniversary with this 140 foot (43 m) tall drop ride from Larson International.
Brain Drain provides guests with a plunge from a height of 120 feet (37 m), reaching a maximum speed of 47 mph (76 kph) before entering a magnetic breaking area. The tower itself is a four-sided truss frame constructed with square section steel tubing. The gondola will carry a maximum of 12 passengers. Each seat is ergonomically designed and is equipped with an over-the-shoulder restraint system. Brain Drain has LED lights on the tower along with LED spotlights on the gondola.
