Belgium opens new active entertainment park

Sports club group Arenal has opened a new active entertainment centre in Lommel, Belgium.

Featuring an array of active play options such as a 1,300sq.ft trampoline park, two indoor playgrounds and seven padel fields, Arenal Lommel takes over from the former Luna’s skating rink.

P500 padel player Elke Lemmens, who joins the new centre in the role of ‘club responsible’, said: “I grew up here in Lommel-Kolonie so I realise all too well that a lot of people have an emotional connection to this location.

“With this we want to make padel sport accessible and accessible to everyone. We also want people to meet each other through sport. Through our WhatsApp groups, we bring players of the same level into contact with each other, so that you can enjoy a game of padel even without a playing partner.”

Arenal has eight branches to date in Belgium, in Bruges, Grimbergen, Mechelen, Waregem, Meise, Verrebroek, Durbuy and Lommel, with 2 sites in the Netherlands at Hoogerheide and Kerkrade.
